Illustration for the limited edition 2020 Mexican Heritage Tin of Silver Patron Tequila
commissioned by Momentum Worldwide New York. llustration was made on Adobe Photoshop.
The illustration is inspired by the myth of Mayahuel, that according to Aztec mythology, is the story that gives birth to the agave as a gift from Quetzacoatl to men as a symbol of passion and transformation. According to the myth, the first agave comes from the burned and buried bones of Mayahuel, bones watered by his lover Ehecatl’s tears (granted by Tlaloc, God of the rain), who is Quetzalcoatl turned into the God of Wind.

The feature article dealt with the issue of the violence against women in Mexico. Published by Aguaardiente Magazine in April 2020. Illustration is a digital drawing made in Procreate for iPad Pro and remastered and colored in Adobe Photoshop with Wacom Cintiq.

Denloc
About
Set of illustrations for different singles of the Mexican-American band Denloc formed in Colorado, United States and Colima, Mexico. The project management was in charge of Rafael Comparán. Some illustrations are original pencil drawings on paper, remastered and colored in Adobe Photoshop with Wacom Cintiq, others are illustrations were made on Adobe Fresco, Procreate for iPad Pro and Adobe Photoshop.
